Public enterprises such as the Waste Energy Company (Afval Energie Bedrijf, AEB) Amsterdam use our online tool to test equipment. This customised solution for testing, calibration, maintenance and inspection has numerous benefits. Cost control in particular is one of the main benefits:
“Valuable management reports”
The Waste Energy Company (AMS) Amsterdam has recently started to roll out a new Gereedschapbeheer system. Over fifty employees, spread across different disciplines, are going to be working with the tool.
“It is an exciting challenge, but a challenge in which we have every confidence.” Mr M. van Vierzen, whose responsibilities include purchasing and testing technical equipment and measurement equipment on the company’s behalf, explains: “Gereedschapbeheer provides us with all the assistance we need and a good level of support. They ensure that our staffed are trained, which allows us to be well prepared. Some of the users have already been trained. We are convinced that the system that has been developed suits our organisation perfectly. During the training session, it became apparent how user friendly the system is. Gereedschapbeheer staff can also be contacted at any time. Our staff are very keen to start using this tool – partly as a result of the support they have been receiving.
Now that the pilot has almost been completed, we can roll it out to all users simultaneously. We use Gereedschapbeheer to manage equipment, tests, calibration, maintenance and cost control. We work from various departmental warehouses that dispatch the various pieces of equipment to our staff ‘in the field’. We hope that the new tool will give us even better insight as to the location of our equipment. There was also a need for an automatic system for carrying out tests on time. The automatic reminder system meets a need in that regard. Some parts have been custom made for us. The detailed management report allows us to use the system as a control mechanism. “
